Welcome to the World!!!

That's right, most of you know.  Caleb Zane Frisk has made his arrival.  We are now Frisk, Party of Seven.  We are snuggling together and enjoying our time with daddy before he has to go back to work.  The hubby is so amazing and has taken over everything so we can rest.  As much as I love to cook, I'm not looking forward to cooking again.  I just love holding him constantly.  Here is a look at his birth announcement.

36 Weeks

Here we are, 36 weeks today and I have no pic for you just yet.  Mainly because I forgot.  However, I did want to show off the handiwork of my fantastic hubby.  I have not and probably will not ever be the mom who uses a changing table.  I always just change baby on the bed.  I told him I wanted to change out the side table next to my side of the bed for something with storage for diapers, powder, etc.  He steps outside and comes in a couple hours later with this beautiful piece.

I am in love and so grateful for his wonderful abilities.  In fact, we have an Etsy page in the works coming soon and will be offering these amazing side tables.  Stay tuned for more updates of the final month with pics to come. All for now.

Our Curriculum Choices 2015-2016

I've had a few people ask me what we choose for our curriculum, so I thought I'd share what we're doing this year.  We are finishing up week 4, and so far it's fantastic.  Every year I create our schedule and tweak it over the first couple of weeks until we find what works, but more on that later.

Pess (Ava) 1st Grade

I can't believe she's in 1st grade this year.  That's crazy.  She's so excited about the fact that this year she gets tests.  Go figure.  Strange child.  She's already taken 3 and made a 100% on them all.

Goose (Gavin) 4th Grade

This dude is definitely getting too big.  He is so incredibly smart.  Against my judgement, we moved him up a grade a few years ago, and now he is thriving and still ahead of the curve.  He started 4th grade this year, and he's loving it.

Big Man (Bryson) 6th Grade

It blows me away that I now have a child in middle school.  I can't believe how much he's grown and that we've been homeschooling this long.  Not to sound like everyone else, but time sure does fly.  Big Man understood that this year he would be taking on a larger workload so he said, "Mom, I'm ready!"

We also have Journal Writing before lunch and 20 minutes of private reading time everyday.  I feel like I'm missing something, but here it is.  I know it sounds like a lot, but it's not.  Let me know if you guys have any questions.  All for now.

Controversial Ignorance!!!

I'm praising my God that I am saved by His grace through my faith in Jesus Christ.  Most of you know what kind of mother I am.  Not that I put much stock in what anyone but my Savior thinks of me.  Most of you know that I am a homeschooling mom to my 4 kiddos, we have one little munchkin on the way and God carried us through the birth and death of Addison.  Every morning, as a part of our day, we have Bible time.  Every night, the hubby leads family devotions.  We are trying to instill in our children a need for love, faith, hope and morals, especially love.  God is love.  We are teaching them virtues weekly as a part of my curriculum.  But not only that, I love my children.  I hug on them.  I spend time with them.  I do things with them.  I make our home a safe environment of love, a place where they can grow and love and learn and come to us at any time and talk.  Not that I need to tell you all of these things, but recently it has come to my attention that there is an entire facebook page devoted to mothers and tattoos.  This page is called your tattoos make you a bad mother. I have several tattoos as does my hubby. This makes me very sad.  Not because I care what kind of mother these people think I am, but that they are ignorant enough to think that tattoos make a mother.  In my lifetime I have met and been exposed to a number of mothers that did not and do not have any tattoos and.......................................I'll leave it at that.  I think its sad that others label and judge based on what may be printed on the skin.  One of my favorite tattoos on me is the last half of Matthew 19:6, Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.  My hubby has the first half.  This is just one sign of our faith in God and the commitment that we made together before God.  If you speak to my children, they will tell you of their love for God, our home, their parents and each other.  We are sad when we are all not together.  So, please, tell me again, how do my tattoos make me a bad mother?!

June Update and Gender Reveal!!!

We had such a fantastic and full June!  We started June with Pess turning 6 on the 7th and on the 12th we got to see our little man.  Yes,  It's A Boy!!!  He did not want to cooperate so we had to go back for another ultrasound 3 weeks later, but he cooperated at that one.  He is such a handsome little cutie and is estimated to be a little over a pound.  I hope you enjoy some of the pictures from our June and we will keep you updated.  All for now!!

May in Pictures!!!!

Our May was packed full of wonderful things and blessings.  Our homeschool group had a fantastic graduation ceremony.  Big Man finished 5th and Goose finished 3rd grade.

Pess finished Kindergarten and the kindergartners wore cap and gowns and it was so stinkin cute.

The hubby was on vacation for two weeks and we had a blast.  Starting with the fantastic picture of our healthy little Frisk on the way.

We spent some time at the beach and eating at  new restaurants.

We finally made it to the zoo, which was awesome.

We went to an amazing fishing clinic (fishing is huge in this family).  The kids loved it and got a free fishing pole.  Now we running out of room for all of our fishing poles. :P

We rounded out our May with a trip to Nina and Papa's for some swimming time.
God gave us such a wonderful May.  I am excited and ready for what our June will bring.  Stay tuned for more updates on Frisk baby #6 as this month we will have our big gender reveal.  All for now.

Being Stretched and Trusting my God!!!!

January and February are gone and it seems that March is doing the same thing.  We were asked to step up to lead the worship team at our church which is a big commitment, but when God calls, you answer.  My Bible study, Making Peace with your Emotions, started the first Tuesday in February and we have such a fantastic group of ladies and I feel like we are learning so much and really coming together.  February proved to be a difficult month though.  Since we have stepped out in faith and trusted God, of course, we were also being attacked.  We were all sick with a virus for a day, then the kiddos got a really bad cold which almost turned into pneumonia in Luby (Hannah).  Then our car was vandalized by teenagers.  They were never caught, so of course, we had to buy a new hood for our 2014 Honda Accord,  Not cheap.  Now it seems that the hubby's work hours, which are already insane, are going to increase.  But through it all we are continuing to trust in our God who has carried us through worse.  In the midst of it all, God is continuing to bless us.  We got a surprise a little over a week ago.  We are expecting #6.  Yep that's right.  Very much a surprise, but very much a blessing.  We normally wouldn't announce it this early, as I am almost 6 weeks, but 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God has not given us a spirit of fear. but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  We appreciate all the celebration and prayers of our prayer warriors.  We have already encountered some with an opinion of the amount of children we have and if you have a negative opinion, let it go or keep it too yourself.  We will keep you updated on Baby Frisk.  All for now.

Reflections of 2014!!!

Wow!!! What a year!  How did we get to this moment so quickly?  This year seems to have gone so much faster than all the others.  It seems like yesterday, as I was reading my Reflections of 2013, that I just sat down to write that and here we are again.  As I look over our life in pictures through 2014, I realize just how much we accomplished.  This was definitely a year of growing in God.  Sometimes we feel stretched thin, but we cling to God and hold on for the ride.  He promises to carry us through.  Definitely another year of wonderful and amazing blessings.  I hope you enjoy my Reflections of 2014!
Took this one first thing so I could have a recent pic to put on here.

I Love You
I love this crazy guy.  He keeps me laughing. :)

Still Laughing
Something was so funny, and they could not stop laughing.

Winter Wonderland
Now that we're in FL, a cold morning is about as close as you're getting to a Winter Wonderland.

We have lots of birthdays in our house, but since I only choose one, little miss turned 1 this year.

When friends travel hundreds of miles to see you, you have to take them to a museum. ;P

I Was Inspired
Starting a line of crochet earrings and jewelry.  Since I'm not a jewelry maker, this should be interesting.

Spring Fever
Love this spring pic of these two cuties.

Travel or Vacation
Relaxing Cedar Key, my first time to the Gulf coast of FL

Summer Days
No summer day is complete in FL without the beach.

A Day in My Life
Homeschool lesson plans cannot be completed without coffee. :P

All Smiles
The last day of school definitely brings all smiles and excitement.

Autumn Harvest
I definitely miss my Kentucky colors, this is the closest we get in FL.  ;P

Family or Home
I love this one of us being crazy.

Hubby and I celebrated 13 years of marriage this year.  Wow!!

Let's Do it Again
We hardly ever go out by ourselves.  We need to do it more often.

I Miss You
We remembered Addison again with another sky lantern.  This year is flew beautifully.  I can't believe it's been 2 years.  I miss her so.

Sister love, so beautiful

Dress Up
Back in March, Hubby and I went to a ball.  So much fun.

The closest I came to macro this year, I was busy with a baby. ;P

We pulled it off, another family Christmas pic success.

My Favorite
There were too many to qualify as my favorite.  There is something I adore about this pic, but it also makes me sad.  Makes me realize how quickly she's growing.

Don't Ever Change
I hope they will forever be buds.

Just Because .......... So There!
Matthew 19:6

Hopes and Dreams
My children will always be my hopes and dreams.

In 2015, I hope to remember to see the joy in everything, love more dearly,  trust in God more, seek Him more completely and not sweat the small stuff.  Life is a precious gift, so live it.  All for now.
