September Update!!!!!

We started to month with a lot going on.  Like I said in August, soccer practices and games took up most of the week.  Hubby had his birthday at the beginning of the month.  He hates when I take pics of him so here is a pic of the yummy mocha cupcakes with peanut butter frosting.
Then came our anniversary.  One of the few times of the year that we actually try to go out on a date.  We celebrated 13 years of marriage this year.  Crazy.  It's hard to believe that we've now been together 16 years.  Feelin a little old here.

Our homeschool group had its first event of the year and we had a blast at that.  Of course, Pess did not want to leave and put up a little bit of resistance.

Again, lots and lots of soccer.

Then at the end of the month.  DOUBLE CELEBRATION!!!!!  G turned 8 on the 26th and Little Miss turned 1 on the 27th.  Yay.  We can't believe it's been 1 year already.  Time flies when you're having fun and celebrating every moment with these precious kiddos.  It was the absolute neatest cake smash ever.  Everyone at the party said she was very boring.  She barely made any mess with her cake.

She has a very large personality and she is extremely independent and defiant.  The hubby said she's just like me but looks just like him.

Pess and I decided on a change and chopped our hair off.  So much cooler in all this heat.

We did our school photos for the year, so any relatives wanting those need to let me know now.  :)
October is going to be an interesting month.  It is now a tough month for us.  As we approach Addison's birthday and death day, please pray for our family.  Some days it hits me like a ton of bricks.  I can't believe she would have been 2 years old.  I miss her terribly everyday.  Oddly enough, October is Infant Loss Remembrance Month and also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Two subjects that have hit extremely close to home in our family.  Infant Loss Remembrance Day is the 15th, so please join us in burning a candle for all the babies that have passed on.  We will also be burning one on the 12th for Addison.  Until next time, all for now.

August Update!!!!!

Now that it's October, I figured I should catch you up on what's went on in our house August and September.  This post will just show you August.  Baby steps, right.  We have been running like crazy since we started school at the end of July/beginning of August.  School has been fantastic so far and I feel like this year will be awesome.  We also started soccer.  Yes, three separate fields going at one time sometimes.  Up to five games on Friday and Saturday sometimes.  My Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday have been full of soccer.  We had a very large milestone happen in our house.  Big Man, B,  hit the double digits.  For all of you in the military, you know that's the magic age for a military I.D.  He was so proud.  We also had a very momentous occasion with the promotion of my awesome hubby.  I'm so proud of him.  As we headed into September, the craziness continued.  But I'll save that for another post.  Until then, enjoy some pics from our August.  All for now.

Summer Update!! (June and July)

OH MY!!  That's exactly what goes through my head when I think about everything that we have crammed into our 7 months here in FL so far.  But, I wouldn't have it any other way.  God has so richly blessed us.  Let me show you a little of what went on during June and July in our house.  By the grace of God, we finished all of our lessons on May 30.  At the beginning of June we celebrated this little beauty turning 5 years old.

Right after, my very bestest friend and her family came from Louisiana to hang out for a couple of days and celebrate her birthday.  We crammed a lot into those few days, but we had a blast.

After that, we took a mini vacation down to this little unknown spot name Cedar Key on the gulf coast of Florida.  Very relaxing place.  It is more of a fishing community so not really any swimming spots.

We, of course, had lots of park days and lots of canning fresh veggies and homemade salsa.

We had some nights of silly faces and at the end of the June, Little Miss turned 9 mos.  Of course, a week before that she decided to start walking.

The beginning of our July started out extremely rough.  Little Miss caught some type of bug and she was pretty sick for about a week.  But she finally healed and then we celebrated by having Papa and Goggie come for a visit.

We had some model building with Daddy after they left.

Hubby and I finally got our tattoo.
Matthew 19:6  So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh...  Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.

After that we had our niece for 2 weeks and had so much fun.  But you have already seen most of the pics from that in Early Fun Food Friday.

Whew, are you tired yet, if you're staying with me, you're awesome.
Of course, during all of this fun. I'm taking pics and trying to plan for the next school year.

The coolest part of her visit was that the kiddos created and directed their own movie and asked me to film it.  Now we have an hour long movie of memories. :)  Here they are making scenes and sets.
Here they are making PB cookies.

I may not have mentioned it, but we've had LOTS of beach days.  Hubby and I love the beach.

At the end of the month, we went to a huge birthday celebration for my Gran's 75th.  I saw people there that I have not seen in over 10 years.

We finished up the month by starting school early, July 28th.  I know we're going to have so many activities this year that I wanted to make sure we would finish in a timely manner next year ;P.  Stay tuned for an entire post on our curriculum choices for this year.  And if you stuck it out to the end of this post, kudos to you and thanks :)  All for now.
