Going the distance

Well, my wonderful husband comes home in 2 days. During his time of absence, I decided to do some changes. One, I was determined to get rid of the baby weight from Ava and get back down to size. I have pushed myself more than I ever have. I have been doing P90X and loving it. I am currently on Week 7, and I am already seeing improvements. The other change is the kitchen. Why we get it in our heads to paint our kitchen with the husband gone and 3 children to take care of I will never know, but it is almost finished. I will take pictures of the completed project soon. I hope you all reading this have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I will, my hubby will be home. All for now.

Out of the mouth or minds of babes

What is amazing to me is how honest our children can be. Today during our homeschooling for Bryson's art project I gave Bryson some magazines and told him we were going to make a collage of things we are thankful for. I asked him about some of the things that he is thankful for and then told him to look through the magazines. I left him alone to work and cut and paste while I worked with Gavin. When I came back, to my surprise, there was a small picture of a mommy and a daddy kissing a baby, a very large picture of some cookies, a very large picture of some chocolate and a large picture of a pumpkin pie. I guess we know what never leaves Bryson's mind. On another note, I have to say that I am very thankful for the fact that Gavin will find something to do while I'm working with Bryson. A couple of days ago during Bryson's reading and writing time I went to check on Gavin and found that he had built a small town out of blocks. You gotta love the imagination that went into it. I had to take a few shots. I have to say, God gave me great kids. All for now.

I don't know how I do it, but I always seem to fall behind on developing my photos. One of my greatest passions is photography and yes for all you old school haters, I have a FILM camera. My kids are always so disappointed when they can't view the pic as soon as it's taken. One day I will upgrade. I know my monetary limits and I refuse to go into debt for a new one. So, to try to catch up, here are some pics of the kids on Halloween. We had so much fun going trick or treating with friends. The sadness of this Halloween was that it is our last Halloween trick or treating with these particular friends. The army's cruel joke, but a life style we chose. I hope you enjoy the pics. All for now.

Welcome to blogging.

Well, here we go. Whether anybody actually cares what I have to say, I'm going to blog. As I said in my profile, this is my attempt to reconnect with family and friends far and wide, my attempt to inspire others to do maybe a little more than they thought they could(thanks to my best friend Kasey), my attempt to ease the thoughts and minds of other moms who think their child is the only one that could do such craziness, and my attempt to remember everything about this life and what God has given me so I can be thankful to Him each and every day. Feel free to tag along as I try to catalog the craziness that is the Frisk life. Whether it be what's going on with our family and the army or our homeschooling journey or just everyday life, I'll try to get the moments down. Don't expect too much though. Above all my children come first, so I will not be sitting at the computer for hours thinking of something inspiring, I will be living and enjoying my children. All for now.
